Girls outshine boys in BISE Peshawar HSSC examination 2009

PESHAWAR: Female students once again outclassed male students by grabbing top three positions in the intermediate examinations conducted by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Peshawar (BISE).

In the overall results, Bushra Khalid stood first by bagging 968 marks while Sana Pervez and Humaira Usman got second and third position by getting 960 and 954 marks, respectively. All the three female students, belonging to Jinnah College for Women (JCW), University of Peshawar, also topped the pre-medical group.

In the pre-engineering group, students of Islamia College Peshawar outshined other students by achieving the top three positions. Faheem Ullah stood first by getting 949 marks, followed by Bilal Khan with 945 marks and Shahrukh Khan with 930 marks.

BISE Chairman Peshawar Farhad Khan announced names of the top position holders in a ceremony here Tuesday. In the general science group Sidra Saeed of Peshawar Model Degree College (PMDC) grabbed top position with 925 marks. Ms Maryam Salim of JCW and Ms Asma Javaid of PMDC (Women) both stood second by getting 922 marks. Ms Iqra Sher of PMDC (Women) was declared third in the group by getting 917 marks.

Nasir Shahzad of Islamia College Peshawar stood first in the humanitarian group by obtaining 899 marks. Ms Hina Habib of JCW got second position with 875 marks. Ms Neelum Ali of JCW and a private student, Ms Shakeela Naz both stood third in the group by securing 865 marks each. Syed Tayyeb Shah topped the theology group by obtaining 893 marks.

Farhad Khan congratulated the position holders and urged them to keep their focus on research as well. He asked the students to keep up the good work to maintain their positions in future.

Jurisdiction of Peshawar Board

After the splitting of BISE Peshawar into three Boards-Peshawar, Mardan and Kohat, BISE, Peshawar looks after the examination activities of District Peshawar, District Charsadda, District Chitral, Khyber Agency and Mohmand Agency as areas under its jurisdiction.

BISEP Enrolment Registration Details

Enrolment: BISEP start enrolment of 9th class after the declaration of Middle Class (8th) Result. Enrolment period is from 1st April to 31st May.

With late fee of Rs.50/- up to 1st October
With double late fee of Rs.200/- up to 31st December

After the due date Rs.10/- will be charged per day per student as penalty till one month before the commencement of examination.

Registration: Admission/Registration will start after 10 days of the declaration of SSC Result. Admission in 1st Year will continue for 2 months and eleven days in which the late admission period of one month is also included.

a. Without Late Fee Rs.70/- till 31st May
b. With Late Fee Rs.50+70=120/- till 1st October
c. With Double Fee Rs.200/- till 31st December

BISE Peshawar Affiliation Guidelines

GUIDELINES FOR AFFILIATIONS:

REQUIREMENT

Privately Managed School/College shall be required to deposit the following fee:-

a. Rs. 3000/- for Inspection of Institution. (Inspection team).

b. Rs. 20,000/- to be deposited as security in the joint name of the Chairman BISE, concerned and Head of Institution in the concerned Bank, branch and the whole profit/interest on the expiry of period for which it was deposited shall be paid to the Board concerned.

c. Rs. 5000/- as first recognition fee after which extension of period of recognition Rs.3000/- will be charged for each year extension.

Peshawar SSC exams result announced

Peshawar, July 15, 2008: Girl students outshined boys by clenching the top seven positions in the Secondary School Certificate examinations conducted by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Peshawar.

Nasir Ali, controller of examinations at BISE, announced the result of SSC (Class 10) examinations here on Monday.

In the science group, Wajeeha Tauqeer of the University Model School, Peshawar, took the first position by obtaining 831 marks. The second position went to Sana Yazdani of the Peshawar Model Girls High School, Warsak Road, who secured 830 marks. Maimoona Nazir of the University Model School stood third with 828 marks.

In the arts group, Zaiba Said of the Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Hayatabad, got the first position with 761 marks.

The second position was also bagged by a student of the same school, Sadaf Afridi, who secured 740 marks. Mehmoona Afridi of the Qurtaba Public School, Hayatabad, got the third position with 736 marks.

Mr Ali said 53,733 students had appeared in the examinations, 36,016 (67.03 per cent) of whom were declared successful.

BISE chairman Prof Mohammad Tariq Khan congratulated the top three position holders, who were present on the occasion.

A total of 49,581 students of both the arts and science groups appeared in the Class 9 examinations, 24,593 (49.60 per cent) of whom were declared successful.

University of Peshawar will award prizes and certificates to position holder students of F.A / F.Sc in BISE Exam – 2007

Peshawar: University of Peshawar will award prizes and certificates to shining students of various colleges who secured first, second and third positions in various categories of the F.A/ F.Sc Annual-2007 of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education in a colourful ceremony on Tuesday, August 28, 2007 (12:00 Noon) at Sahibzada Abdul Qayum Conference Room. Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Dr. Haroon Rashid will be the chief guest on the occasion.

Besides the position holder students, principals of their respective colleges, one parent of each student, Director Vice Chancellor’s Secretariat Major (r) Tariq Mahmood, All Deans of Faculties and Regional Director HEC Farman Ullah Anjum will also attend the ceremony. It is pertinent to note that Vice Chancellor University of Peshawar Professor Dr. Haroon Rashid has also awarded prizes and certificates to those students who secured distinctive positions in the SSC examination of BISE – 2007, recently.
